Hotman Group is hiring a Business Development Representative to help generate new client opportunities for our cybersecurity and GRC consulting business.
This role is focused on outbound prospecting and client acquisition. You will identify the right companies, reach the right decision-makers, start conversations, and book qualified meetings for our team.
This is a strong fit for someone who knows how to create pipeline through thoughtful, persistent outreach and wants a flexible, performance-driven opportunity with real upside. This is a contract-to-hire position with top performers moving to permanent roles within 6 months.
In this role, you will focus on outbound business development activities that generate qualified sales conversations.
Responsibilities include:
Researching target companies, industries, and key decision-makers
Building and managing prospect lists
Executing outbound outreach through phone, email, LinkedIn, networking, events, and other channels
Writing personalized outreach that reflects the prospect’s business needs and likely pain points
Starting conversations with qualified buyers and moving them toward a scheduled meeting
Tracking activity, pipeline progress, and notes in HubSpot
Partnering with internal leadership on messaging, priorities, and target account strategy
Reporting weekly on outreach activity, meeting volume, pipeline movement, and observations from the market
This role is primarily focused on creating pipeline and booking qualified meetings. If you also have closing experience, that is a plus, but it is not required for success in this position.
In the first 90 days, a successful person in this role will:
Learn Hotman Group’s core services, positioning, and ideal client profile
Build and begin working targeted outbound lists
Launch consistent multi-channel outreach
Start generating qualified conversations and booked meetings
Establish a reliable rhythm of pipeline activity and reporting
Over time, success in this role means creating a steady flow of qualified opportunities that contribute to new client growth.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organized, credible in outreach, and comfortable building momentum from scratch.
You may be a fit if you have:
Experience in business development, sales development, lead generation, or outbound prospecting
Confidence reaching out to new prospects and starting conversations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Good judgment around messaging, tone, and follow-up
The ability to stay consistent and disciplined with outreach activity
Experience using a CRM such as HubSpot or a similar platform
A professional, self-directed work style in a remote environment
Helpful but not required:
Experience selling or supporting services in cybersecurity, GRC, compliance, consulting, or B2B professional services
Experience working with mid-market or enterprise buyers
Experience turning meetings into pipeline or closed business
This is a 1099 contract role with a compensation structure designed around performance.
Compensation includes:
A base retainer or hourly structure
Performance-based incentives tied to qualified meetings and/or revenue outcomes
Flexibility based on experience and level of responsibility
